Board Vice President
A Board member since 2013, Joe has spent over 20 years in Financial Planning & Analysis and has specialties in Budgeting and Management Reporting in the financial services industry. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Joe spent 2 years in the Dominican Republic in micro-enterprise lending while serving with the United States Peace Corps. As the Society’s Treasurer, Joe chairs the Finance Committee and actively seeks to heighten the financial acumen of the entire SVdP community.
Joe brings his attentive nature and eye for detail to the various financial issues confronting non-profits operating in San Francisco today. Joe is especially interested in the work of St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco, due to its focus on both the individual and on breaking the cycle of poverty.
In his free time, Joe enjoys San Francisco Opera, the New York Times Crossword, and Crissy Field.
Helen Allen – Loevenbruck
Helen Allen-Loevenbruck received her BA from University of California Los Angeles before studying abroad in Bordeaux and completing her MA in English at California State University, Northridge. She started three businesses in Seattle, all involving specialty food. Helen returned to San Francisco in 2005 and began volunteering for St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco in 2008.
Brian is a trial lawyer who has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in antitrust, unfair business practices, and insurance coverage cases for over thirty years. Brian is affiliated with the Franciscan Friars, Province of St. Barbara. Just as the Franciscans' mission revolves around service to the poor, Brian feels passionately about SVDP-SF's mission to serve the poor of San Francisco. In his free time, Brian enjoys growing fruits and vegetables, as well as hiking and camping in the West's wild places.
Greg is a member of the Board, serves on the Finance Committee and heads SVDP-SF's Strategic Committee. Greg has lived in San Francisco for over 20 years. From his roots growing up on a ranch in Fresno, Greg attended Santa Clara University for his undergraduate degree, and went on to receive his MBA from Boston College and law degree from Georgetown. He is a property manager at Tri-State Enterprises in Mountain View. Greg is also a real estate attorney and broker. He founded GB and Associates, a real estate brokerage firm. Previously, he worked in the financial services industry for Wells Fargo, where he developed and managed banking products secured by both commercial and residential property. Greg was a consultant with Accounting Solutions, assisting financial institutions and businesses.
Greg also serves on the Board as Secretary of the South of Market Business Association. He is a founding member of RepresentUS, a group dedicated to removing corruption from government.

Deborah Stokes is a retired financial executive with extensive experience in financial management and tax compliance in both the non-profit and the healthcare sectors. Deborah is a CPA and holds a BA in Business Administration from Stetson University and a MA in Health Services Administration from Florida International University. She and her husband have resided in San Francisco for over twenty years and are members of Saint Dominic’s Catholic Church.
