Community Case Manager – Bilingual
JOB TITLE: Community Case Manager (Spanish/English)
CLASSIFICATION: Full-time, Non-exempt, Union – OPEIU
SCHEDULE: Full time, 40 hours per week

SUPERVISOR: CO Program Manager
SALARY/BENEFITS: $19.59 per hour, benefits/medical (Kaiser), voluntary dental, vision and 403b retirement plan
The Community Case Manager position will provide domestic violence counseling and case management services to survivors who are referred through our contract with Family & Children Services (formally known as Child Protective Services). In addition, this position will provide counseling, advocacy, and case management services to survivors of domestic violence at The Riley Center’s Community Office. This includes drop in support as well as follow-up services to former residents of the Riley Center residential programs, with a particular emphasis on working with Spanish-speaking survivors.
- Coordinate and provide domestic violence services to Differential Response and Community Office clients: telephone, home visits, counseling, case management, advocacy, accompaniment, referrals, and assist clients with paperwork.
- Refer clients to appropriate domestic violence services in the community.
- Responsible for CO statistical and data collection for quarterly reports.
- Track and record statistics in ETO database.
- Upon hiring, complete next available domestic violence training offered by Riley Center.
- Attend Riley Center staff meetings, supervision and DHS/Differential Response meetings and trainings.
- Participate in appropriate on-going staff development & training.
- Facilitate support groups onsite and at satellite locations as needed
- Participate in on-going cross training to perform duties in other departments of the agency as needed.
- Maintain and compile client records, including individual case notes, daily log and statistics, in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide written and verbal translation as needed.
- Share office management duties: maintenance, donations, mail, supporting volunteers, etc.
- Occasional weekend and evening hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- BA/BS in psychology or related field.
- Written and oral fluency in both Spanish and English.
- Experience working with survivors of domestic violence in direct services is preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in counseling, case management and client advocacy
- Familiarity with Harm Reduction philosophy and approach
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of domestic violence issues, especially in context to race, class, gender, and sexual identity.
- Knowledge, experience, and comfort working with a diverse community, including LGBTQQ, youth, immigrant, low income communities, and communities of color.
- Working knowledge of community resources.
- Demonstrated commitment to open, direct, and non-violent communication.
- Ability to de-escalate crisis situations and make decisions under pressure.
- Basic reporting skills, including data entry, excel & word processing.
- Strong initiative and ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a small office.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients, volunteers and staff.
