TAY Urgent Accommodation Program
The Transitional Age Youth – Urgent Accommodation Voucher Program (TAY-UAV) provides immediate, short-term hotel placements and low-barrier shelter for transition-age youth experiencing homelessness in San Francisco. Serving young adults ages 18 to 27, the program supports individuals and couples facing urgent housing crises, including those who are couch surfing, living unsheltered, or fleeing domestic violence, while helping them move toward stability and permanent housing.
Beyond emergency accommodations, program staff provide ongoing case management and connections to supportive services, including benefits assistance, medical and prenatal care, mental health services, substance use treatment, and housing navigation.
Working closely with TAY Access Points and community partners, the program helps participants access long-term housing resources, improve self-sufficiency, and build pathways toward long-term stability.
