Executive Director

Margi English has worked in both private sector and nonprofit organizations, where she has raised over $50 million for human services, social justice, and education programs.

Ms. English started her career in nonprofit fund development as Executive Director of Development and Communications for Santa Clara University’s Jesuit School of Theology. Margi served as Executive Director for the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco in 2013-2017 and is happy to be back in this role to support the great work of our team.

She has served as Chief Development Officer for both Hamilton Families and Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco and is well versed in issues related to housing, shelter and workforce development.

She was appointed by the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women to the Equal Pay Advisory Board and served on the San Francisco Interfaith Essential Housing Task Force in partnership with the Mayor’s Office.

Ms. English is a graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders and received a B.S. degree in Organizational Behavior and Leadership from the University of San Francisco. She holds current CFRE, PHR and PMP certifications.
