Board President

A proud native San Franciscan, Joe attended local St. Ignatius College Preparatory and San Francisco State University for his undergraduate and MBA degrees. He is in the sunset of his career in Microscopy and Electronics Technology where he has worked with universities and hospitals in the biological field and with many Silicon Valley companies in advanced measurement systems and industrial manufacturing applications. Joe is no stranger to the work of SVDP-SF, as he has been involved for several years with his local Sunset Parish St. Gabriel’s and our City’s Laguna Honda Hospital Residence Conferences.

Kathleen Fourre

Board Secretary

Kathy Fourre has been member of St. Vincent de Paul since 2003 through her local conference and became a member of the Board in 2019. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Zoology, and from San Francisco State with a masters in Marine Biology. She worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 30 years before retiring. A lifelong resident of San Francisco, she is active in her parish. She is committed to supporting the mission of St. Vincent de Paul and to creating a more just world.


Joseph Cooney

Board Treasurer

A member of the Board since 2013, Joe has spent over 20 years in Financial Planning and Analysis and has specialties in Budgeting and Management Reporting in the financial services industry. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Joe spent 2 years in the Dominican Republic in micro-enterprise lending while serving with the United States Peace Corps.  As St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco’s Board Treasurer, Joe chairs the Finance Committee and actively seeks to heighten the financial acumen of the entire SVDP community. 

Joe brings his attentive nature and eye for detail to the various financial issues confronting non-profits operating in San Francisco today. He is especially interested in the work of the Society due to its focus on both the individual and on breaking the cycle of poverty.

In his free time, Joe enjoys the San Francisco Opera, the New York Times Crossword, and Crissy Field.

Bernadine Adams

Bernadine M. Adams

Board Member

Raised in Southern California, Bernadine moved to Northern California and attended two years of college at a Catholic school in the Bay Area (Notre Dame de Namur University), She earned her Bachelors of Arts in French from San Francisco State University. Belinda’s professional experience in Northern California includes advertising, consulting, and government.

Bernadine pays it forward by serving the needs of individuals and groups in the community including St. Mary’s Cathedral SVDP. Bernadine is the Vice President of the District Council and has served as a Board Member of St. Vincent de Paul Society since 2021.

Brian Brosnahan

Board Member

Brian is a trial lawyer who has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in antitrust, unfair business practices, and insurance coverage cases for over thirty years. He is also affiliated with the Franciscan Friars, Province of St. Barbara. Just as the Franciscans' mission revolves around service to the poor, Brian feels passionately about SVDP-SF's mission to serve the poor of San Francisco. In his free time, Brian enjoys growing fruits and vegetables, as well as hiking and camping in the West's wild places.


Gregory Bryan

Board Member 

Greg is a member of the Board and the Finance Committee and heads St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco's Strategic Committee. He has lived in San Francisco for over 20 years.  From his roots growing up on a ranch in Fresno, Greg attended Santa Clara University for his undergraduate degree before going on to receive his MBA from Boston College and law degree from Georgetown University. He is a property manager at Tri-State Enterprises in Mountain View. Greg is also a real estate attorney and broker, in which he founded GB and Associates, a real estate brokerage firm. Greg previously worked in the financial services industry for Wells Fargo where he developed and managed banking products secured by both commercial and residential property.  He has also been a consultant with Accounting Solutions assisting financial institutions and businesses.

Greg also serves on the Board as Secretary of the South of Market Business Association.  He is a founding member of RepresentUS, a group dedicated to removing corruption from government. 


Aleece Germano

Board Member 

Aleece joined the Board in 2019 and has lived in San Francisco for 6 years. A passionate advocate for the homeless, she is committed to helping individuals transition off of the streets. She began her career in the nonprofit sector at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience to the Board from her work at Salesforce, Marketo, and Razorfish. Currently an Enterprise Account Executive at Anaplan, Aleece is always interested in finding new ways to bring together the business community for social good.
